I'm sorry to have missed the reunion. I keep in touch with many former Sea-Landers. I have many good memories of my fifteen years in Washington. I miss that place and the Tacoma Tradewinds. Best wishes to all of you who are enjoying retirement.

Have enjoyed reading comments and all the photos that came from the reunion. I was unable to attend but it was a pleasure to review all the happenings. I notice that there will be other scheduled events which I will look forward to. In the meantime my greetings to all. Sea Land was a major event in all of our lives and the memories are a grand thing.

I was unaware of the Guestbook. At dinner last night, Robin told me about it.
I still get "chills" when I think of all the people I saw that night, and think of the ones not there. There will NEVER be another Sea-Land, we were all so fortunate to work and advance there. Our friends are for life.
To the Committee, Thank You Thank You Thank you for all your hard work.

The day doesn't go by that I don't have some fond or funny memory of my Sealand days. I have a beautiful , framed map of The Territory of Hong Kong that I see every day. It reminds me of good times and good friends. To see so many of those folks at the reunion was incredible.Sealand was a special company, in a special time, made up of special people. The fact that so any people returned for the reunion is testimony to that. As always, not near enough time to get to catch up with everybody. My best to all.

I had some spare time and was surfing the net when I came across the site and the description of the Sea-Land Reunion event. Congratulations to the organizers for what seems like a wonderfully successful event. I happened to see Alice Corey and Ruth Picha's names on the attendee roster. If they are checking the guestbook, please e-mail me. It would be great to talk and catch up.

Sorry it has taken so long to say "thank you" to the terrific group who put this special evening together. I hope the committee members realize how much everyone appreciated all their hard work and personal sacrifices. It was truly a night we will never forget. The 22 years I spent at Sea-Land were the best working years of my life. I will never experience anything like that again in my lifetime and wish I could turn back the clock. How lucky I was to be a small part of such a great company. Thanks for the memories, Sea-Land.

"AWESOME" is the word that best describes our Sea-Land family reunion on October 11, 2003. My deepest heartfelt thanks to the reunion committee who did a superb job! It truly was a perfect evening and we know how hard you worked to get us there. It was wonderful to see so many friends from the past but sad that it was impossible to talk everyone there. That means we MUST have another party!! Sea-Land was my home and its people were my family for 20 years - I will always hold those I knew personally in a special place in my heart. Since 1995, it has been fun to describe to people just what it was like to work for the "largest containerized shipper" in the world. We worked hard and played hard.. We were a great team and a great family.. It was a great journey.... God Bless You All.

What a night.. The opportunity of a lifetime. I have been retired since 1990 and pretty much thought my contact with most Sea-Land personnel was over. This gave me a great opportunity to see many that I thought I would never see again and to see many that I will never see again. I will never forget them nor what this night meant. I agree that Jerry Scott's invocation was most touching and very welcome. My very best to those who made this possible and thanks for all their dedication and hard work. To all of those with whom contact was not made, I'm sorry we missed each other but you are in my thoughts. Sincerely, Jerry V. Cochran 110 N. Dabney Dr. Slidell, La 70458. 985-643-2184.

The adage that good planning leads to a outstanding result certainly was certainly proven at the reunion. Thank-You to the Organizing committee for all the hours of effort and stress in arranging and planning this OUTSTANDING event.
The only disappointment was the inability to see more of the friends that were in attendance and share some "what are you doing now" moments. There was simply not enough time. Still the chance to see and catch up with so many individuals who made such a difference in making Sea-Land such a great place to work and learn was a very very special evening indeed.
It was a magical evening that Jane & I enjoyed to the fullest. We look forward to the next time, hopefully in two years.
Keep the spirit alive!

It was wonderful evening and a magical event. Great to see so many former colleagues again though I was uable to meet them all. At the same time it gave me opportunity to put faces to some of the names with whom I only spoke on phone. It certinly was a big success and the Reunion Committee deserves special thanks for a Super Job.

I have always been proud to be a member of the S/L "family" and the event of 10/11/03 proved to my why again. WHAT A COMMITTEE! The evening couldn't have been better. I can't wait to see the pictures to relive it all over again.
It was wonderful seeing old friends, bosses, coworkers, bowlers, etc. There were a few friends missed and we sure do hope to see them in the future at the next reunion.

Congratulations on the fabulous 800 turnout and your continuing excellence displayed on this website. I have enjoyed the vicarious experience as a result, and additionally have benefitted from discussions and e-mail comments by Jerry Cople. My 1965-68 journey with Sealand was a unique rite of passage into the international shipping arena. Sealand was, indeed, at the beginning of its vast global expansion and certainly Malcolm's child was the transforming agent of our business. All my later accomplishments were built upon those 3 years. Congratulations to all of the red and black team and family.

It was really great seeing everyone. We're celebrating Halloween big time here where I work today, and my thoughts wandered back to the time I spent working at Sea-Land (a full 18 years), the work we did, and the good times (and not) we went through together. I wish all of you and your loved ones well. Warmest regards. Carmen

I had one of the best times of my life. Thank you so much for your hard work, everything was wonderful.
It was great seeing all of my old friends and to realize we (Sea-Landers) were truly the best at what we did. I don't think there is another company who could match the attendance at a company reunion.

You folks did a fabulous job in putting this reunion together. But your hard work sure paid off as this event had to be the "Party of a Lifetime". And what a turnout! So many former associates that I was unable to see them all. It was indeed an incredible evening. I cannot imagine any other company having such a fantastic turnout from employees who have been away from the company for so many years. Yes, "you-all" did a super job in pulling this off. Congrats for a job exceedngly well done!

Many kudos to the Reunion Committee for all their hard work in putting together the best night in Sea-Land's history. I had a blast seeing everyone again and catching up on everyone's lives. Its seems ungrateful not to say "Thank You" for the hard work done to pull such a magical night together. I know I didn't see everyone and that makes me sad, but what was amazing was realizing how many people and departments I interacted with during my many, many years at Sea-Land.

YOU guys were AWESOME....God Bless you for pulling this off we all loved it and are in awe of all the hard work and planning that went into this!!!!!
I tell my children whenever they 'leave' the house (on a date, on a trip, going off to college....) HAVE FUN....DO YOUR BEST and REMEMBER YOUR WAY HOME!
It is funny how Sea-Land can be summarized in that little frase above---we HAD FUN (albeit some harried and difficult days....)...as a team, regardless of division or geographic location, we gave it our BEST...and the October 11, 2003 reunion was nothing more than REMEMBERING OUR WAY HOME! And my dear friends, it was FUN to be BACK HOME again with the BEST corporate America and the global shipping community has ever had to offer!

IT WAS JUST A MAGICAL NIGHT. ON A SCALE OF 1 TO 10 THE EVENT WAS A 12. MY THANKS TO ALL THE COMMITTEE FOR ALL THE HARD WORK AND THE GRAND IDEA OF BRINGING SO MANY VERY SPECIAL PEOPLE TOGETHER. THE COMRADERY OF THE SEA-LANDER'S THAT MADE UP THE 60'S AND 70'S WAS VERY SPECIAL. I HAVE ONLY EXPERIENCED THAT KIND OF SPECIAL RELATIONSHIP WITH A GROUP OF PEOPLE IN TEAM SPORTS, LIKE FOOTBALL AND BASEBALL. #@*%!, WE WERE A TEAM. EVERYONE PULLED THEIR OWN WEIGHT AND PUSHED TOWARDS A COMMON GOAL, PERFECTION. I DON'T KNOW A SINGLE PERSON WHO GRADUATED FROM "MC LEAN TECH" THAT DID NOT GO ON TO BE LEADERS IN WHAT EVER FIELD OF BUSINESS THEY CHOSE TO PURSUE. I NEVER HAD MORE FUN DOING A JOB THAN I DID AT SEA-LAND (I PROBABLY HAD A LITTLE MORE THAN MY SHARE), AND PROBABLY NEVER WILL. THANKS TO YOU ALL FOR MAKING SO MANY GREAT MEMORIES FOR ME, AS I WILL FOREVER BE IN YOUR COLLECTIVE DEBTS. THE CREECHER

This grand Sea-Land reunion reminded me that we pass our earthly life just once. If we can glorify one's precious moment, let us do it now, for we shall not pass this way again!
I and other Sea-Landers were blessed to touch the lives of their former business associates. Let us give thanks to the committee and individuals that made this grand Sea-Land reunion possible.

Reunion Committee, I just wanted to personally THANK each of You for doing a fantastic job! To pull together an event of that size, with people from everywhere is a staggering task. And then for it to really go off without a hitch is just amazing!
The night went by so quickly and the only regret is that you couldn't see everyone you wanted to see. I know that people would gladly attend another one.
So whether or not you guys are involved in a "Reunion II", you deserve all the credit for making this a perfectly memorable event. I am very grateful for the chance you gave us all to see so many dear friends and co-workers. Be very proud of what you did, because it really made a difference to all of us.
Thank You and God Bless You All.

Yes, it was indeed a wonderful evening. Seeing so many former colleagues and meeting some face-to-face for the first time was awesome. Though I'm not as "seasoned" as some of the former Sealanders, I still felt the warmth and bond between my old acquaintances -- that will never change. Thanks to the hard work of the reunion committee, this event will be long remembered.

When the evening ended at 12:30 a.m., I was totally exhausted, my feet were killing me and my voice was almost gone but I wouldn't trade the night for a minute. Thanks seems so little for the job that the committee did but I'll just say "thanks" and hope to see everyone soon.

A wonderful evening and a wonderful event. Congratulations to the committee for a well planned and executed event. It was so much fun to see and talk with former colleagues who I have not seen for so many years. I cannot think of too many companies that would have so many former employees come back to a reunion as well as the many who also came to the west coast reunion in 1995. It speaks volumes about the makeup of Sea Land employees.

The Committee organized a truly memorable event and they should feel proud of the job they did. I am sure it took more hard work than we can begin to imagine. Everyone I have spoken to since the Reunion has had only wonderful things to say and to comment on how glad they went to renew old acquaintances. Sea-Land people worldwide are amazing and I am proud to have "grown up" along with Sea-Land. When I started in Building 2 in Port Newark, I did not realize that the company would grow and serve most of the world, facilitating the movement of so many new products. I am glad I was part of it. It would be nice to have a Sea-Land 50th Anniversary party in 2006!!!

The evening was a wonderful experience for me. Having been able to reunite with past friends and co-workers touched my heart in a way I cannot explain. Chatting with everyone I was able to see brought back so many happy Sea-Land memories. I am very happy that I attended the reunion. I also missed quite a few of our co-workers who have passed on during the years or who were unable to attend, let's not forget about them.

You had to be at the Reunion to see our older, successful Sea-Land Family thrilled to be reunited again - to be able to go back to a good chapter in their career/life - to relive those special memories - it was MAGICAL!
I am proud that I was Co-Chair of the reunion committee - but that pride and work ethic began 24 years ago with Sea-Land - working for the leader in the industry and with the best people - who are still friends and business mentors.
Thank you S/L alumni for allowing me to feel that close bond again--- even if just for a night.

All the committee members should be congratulated for a delightful evening. I still cannot believe seeing all the former Sea-Landers from the past 30 years. It was awesome!

It was a night to remember!
October 11, 2003 will go down in history as the night the largest group of Sea Land associates ever, from 27 states and 9 countries gathered together at a social event, because they wanted to be with their friends and associates to share fond memories.
We were together as a family that did not forget the good times that Sea Land gave us over the years.
Thank you all, who attended, those who could not make it,
"WE MISSED YOU"!
As Bob Hope would say “THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES”.
